Nagesh Karajagi Orchid College of Engineering & Technology (NKOCET), Solapur is an autonomous engineering institution managed by the Pradnya Niketan Education Society (PNES), Pune. Established in 2008, the institute focuses on providing quality technological education while preparing students for professional careers, higher education, research and entrepreneurship.
NKOCET is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, recognised by the Government of Maharashtra, affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (DBATU), Lonere, and accredited by NAAC with an A+ Grade. Industry-Ready Engineering Education
A major focus of NKOCET is bridging the gap between academics and industry. Teaching is supported by laboratories, workshops, project-based learning, case studies, practical assignments and industry-oriented activities so that students learn to apply engineering concepts to real-world problems.

Training, Employability & Placements
Career readiness is an important part of the NKOCET experience. The Training & Placement Cell provides structured training beginning from the second year, including aptitude development, communication and soft skills, technical training, mock group discussions and interviews, company-specific preparation and pre-placement workshops.
The college’s Mission EQ initiative is specifically designed to bridge academic education and industry expectations. It incorporates areas such as career planning, résumé building, interview preparation, leadership and business communication and aims to prepare students for employment, entrepreneurship and higher studies.
For 2025–26, the college’s placement page reports 460 students placed, with 118 campus drives across the six engineering branches. The listed offers include companies from technology, engineering, construction and other sectors, with the highest package shown on the page at ₹18.5 LPA.
Research, Innovation & Entrepreneurship
NKOCET places importance on developing a culture of research, innovation and entrepreneurship alongside formal engineering education.
